The Creamery Sweetens Up Claremont

The Creamery Sweetens Up Claremont

In time for spring, our favourite ice-cream parlour has opened at Palmyra Junction.

So while ice cream might not exactly be top of mind in this rainy weather, we were still over the moon to hear that The Creamery, one of our favourite ice-cream shops in Cape Town, opened a new branch in Claremont’s Palmyra Junction. Woohoo! The new shop, a real treat, has a cosy corner alongside Knead Cafe.

The scoop

This news comes some three years since the Creamery first became one of the Mother City’s most dedicated dessert places after they set up shop in Newlands Village. With their tempting seasonal ice-cream flavours and delicious waffles, their reach has expanded to include shops in Mouille Point and Salt River.

If you haven’t been to any of its shops (in Salt River, Newlands and Mouille Point), you might still have tasted its delicious gelato at the Market on the Wharf, Neighbourhood Goods Market on the Earth Fair Market in St George’s Mall.

Double trouble

The September store opening in Claremont saw the closing of its Salt River branch on 27 July –  but only after a delectable day-long Double Trouble farewell party.
