The two tasting rooms at L’Ormarins Estate are brimming with delicious varietals.

The impressive Terra del Capo cellar, equipped with state-of-the-art machinery, gravity-fed cellars and a mechanical flywheel (the only one of its kind on the continent) is where the five wines in the Anthonij Rupert portfolio are produced, namely L’Ormarins, Cape of Good Hope, Terra del Capo, Protea and the eponymous Antonij Rupert.

The exquisite detail is carried on to two stylish tasting rooms. The Anthonij Rupert Tasting Room is located in the farm’s historic and recently refurbished Manor House. Here, bespoke wine tastings of our Cape of Good Hope, L’Ormarins and Anthonij Rupert wine ranges can be enjoyed in the surrounds of period art, furniture and architecture, after which you can indulge in high tea (R95 per person with a minimum of 4) in one of the drawing rooms or on the veranda, with breathtaking views of the valley and Groot Drakenstein Mountains behind.

The Terra del Capo tasting room is less formal and has a delicious tapas menu that can be enjoyed at the Antipasto Bar, or on the veranda outside. Tasting includes wines from the Terra del Capo and Protea range.

After your wine-tasting, hop on a free tram and visit the impressive Franschhoek Motor Museum on the neighbouring L’Ormarins Estate. And consider joining the Anthonij Rupert Wine Club for discounts and other amazing benefits.
