Crisp Trails: Scenic Wine-Farm Hikes With Snacks + Wine
Lace up your trail shoes and head out on a scenic walk before enjoying a snack and take-home bottle of wine at Cape Point Vineyards every Wednesday.
By Inside Guide • 08 July 2020
If you’re hungry for exciting new ways to explore the Cape during this pesky pandemic, have we got a gem for you? Crisp Trails is a hiking-and-snacking pop-up series – hosted by local business Crisp Artisanal Flatbreads – that combines the love for food, scenery, exercise and wine into one scrumptious experience.

The first trail takes place at the beautiful Cape Point Vineyards, where visitors can enjoy a 5km meander through vineyards, forest and mountain slopes – the only estate in the Cape that flaunts 360-degree views of all three!
You will be able to choose from one of two timeslots – either late morning to mid-afternoon or early afternoon to early evening. The trails are currently limited to 50 guests at a time, so be sure to snag your spot early.
Trail treats

Then, after your walk, you’ll be rewarded with a bottle of estate wine to take home, and a choice between two mouthwatering flatbreads – Parma ham or fresh vegetarian – to enjoy on the estate’s lawns after.
The freshly baked flatbreads are impossibly crisp, and topped with a creamy hummus swirl, delicious Parma ham, Klein River artisanal Gruberg shavings and drizzled with balsamic glaze and olive oil, with fresh rocket, drops of aioli and pomegranate to finish.
Good to know Crisp plans to host these CrispTrails all over the Western Cape. And, once alcohol can be sold on weekends, a weekend option will be added. Watch this space!
To book, simply click the link below and select the Wednesday that suits you, which time (from the provided timeslots) you would like to join, and how many people you are booking for.
Disclaimer: Due to current lockdown regulations, wine isn’t for consumption on the premises. Guests may enjoy their snacks on the lawns and around the farm, or take them to-go along with their bottle of wine for enjoyment at home.
