Game Drives at Villiera Wines

Game Drives at Villiera Wines Miss Earth SA

There’s some seriously spectacular wildlife to be spotted, less than an hour out of Cape Town.

Situated at Villiera Wines in Stellenbosch, is the Villiera Wildlife Sanctuary, home to a large wildlife population of kudu, springbok, antelope, giraffe, zebra, black wildebeest (and more). On its 220-hectare grounds are 12 dams and various marsh areas, which are regularly visited by a dazzling array of birdlife.

Two-hour game drives around the reserve, watching these animals in their natural habitat, are an exhilarating experience. And if you’re game (pun intended), finish it off with a wine-tasting and cellar tour. (Pssst: Individual sized cheese boards go for R68. Price subject to change).

Insider tip On Saturdays, the wine-tasting and cellar tour happens before the 1pm game drive, so you’ll need to arrive one hour earlier at 12pm.
