Southern suburbs dwellers, there’s no need to trek to the other side of the mountain for a cool vibe…

If you live in the southern suburbs, and are tired of trekking to the other side of the mountain to enjoy all the cool things the Mother City has to offer, listen up. This newish market in town (well, in the ’burbs, actually) is heating up the southern suburbs this summer!

Its picturesque setting – between the iconic Newlands Brewery and stadium, with Table Mountain as its backdrop – makes it the perfect summer outdoor outing. Added to this, there’s an impressive list of top-drawer artisans, purveyors, and brands who’ll be vending from the venue. These include Scheckters Raw, The Mac Factory Cape Town, Umami, Tailgate Foods,

Jazzy’s Gourmet Pizza, Smith St Paleo, Frankees, Colony Cycles, Masala Cafe, The Donut Workshop, Wingmen, Tacos Locos, IYO Burgers, Jason’s Bakery, and Remy Cointreau Springs Bar, when last we checked…

The next market instalment is scheduled to take place on Sunday, 25 February, from 9am until 3pm. Subscribe to our newsletter, and we’ll keep you up to speed with future dates.

In the meantime, if you’re looking to spend a leisurely Sunday in the ’burbs, with cool live music in the background, and lots of delicious things to eat and drink, swing by Newlands Spring Market.

I think it is a wonderful idea….but it would be perhaps more attractive if there was home ware & gifts to buy? Would that be a consideration for the future?

    With thanks Patricia
