Who needs the Maldives?
On the edge of a marina at the buzzing V&A Waterfront, hugged by views of Table Mountain, One&Only Cape Town is a world-class resort that attracts tourists and locals with its five-star facilities and international flavour.
In addition to superb service, spacious rooms and beautiful surrounds, the resort’s Bali-esque spa, located on its own island on the resort, is another feather in its luxurious cap.
It is here, alongside the sparkling pool, surrounded by palm-treed gardens and tranquil waterways, where guests are invited to enjoy an A-list cabana experience with every whim catered for, from sunscreen to poolside massages, to delicious snacks, crisp cocktails and highly Insta-worthy poolside chilling.
After checking in at reception (Cabana Experience guests will receive complimentary underground parking), you’ll be shown to your private cabana where a dedicated waitron will greet you with a spritz of sunscreen and a Cabana Cuisine menu, featuring the likes of fresh sharing-style salads, tasty tapas, easy-eating plates as well as summer-inspired sweet treats, of which guests are invited to select eight dishes.
There will also be a selection of alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks, including a bottle of One&Only Cap Classique, two cocktails, four beers or ciders, four soft drinks, two milkshakes and still or sparkling waters.
Food and drinks aside, guests will also be treated to two 30-minute foot massages, and will have full access to the spa’s thermal suites and changing areas. Kids between the ages of four and 12 years are also invited to KidsOnly, the resort’s kids’ club that features an arts and crafts area, movie and games lounge, quiet reading area, computer room and an exclusive garden and playground, where they will be entertained and looked-after by trained child-minders.
With winter on its way, there’s hardly a better way to take advantage of sunny Cape Town days.
Opening times Monday – Sunday, 9am – 5pm
Cost R5 200 per cabana (includes meals and drinks for four, full-day access to the resort pool and spa amenities)
