The Best Wine Specials for Delivery in The Cape

The Best Wine Specials for Delivery in The Cape Blaauwklippen

Take advantage of these super specials from some of the best wine estates in the Cape. #DrinkLocal.

The booze ban has been lifted, and we’re clinking celebratory glasses like it’s nobody’s business, and also sparing a thought for our local wine farmers, who are among those most severely affected by the ban.

To show our support, we’ve rounded up some of the best wine specials around, so you can fill your shelves – and also keep small farms afloat. As Michael Jordaan says: “Please drink South African for the rest of the year. Many jobs depend on it.”

Better still, round up the family for wine-splashed lunch in the Winelands, before or after filling your baskets at the cellar door.

Hazendal Wine Special

About the farm An intriguing mix of Russian heritage and South African tradition is what sets Hazendal Wine Estate apart, and adds a wonderfully novel dimension to a day in the Winelands. The Russian-born Voloshins, who own the farm, have brought the culture and customs of their birthland to the Cape, combining them with an overarching Cape Dutch aesthetic so prevalent in this corner of the Winelands.
The wine Crafted for everyday enjoyment, the award-winning Christoffel Hazenwinkel range pays tribute to the eponymous pioneer who founded the wine farm in 1699. Today, winemaker and viticulturist Clarise Sciocatti-Langeveldt follows a minimalist approach in the cellar: “I don’t want to over-work the grapes, but rather allow the fruit and terroir to shine through.”
