Characterised by a smattering of smallholdings, horse paddocks and wide, sandy beaches, the coastal town of Noordhoek never fails to charm visitors with its easy-breezy atmosphere, magnificent outlooks and an infectious community-driven village centre that brims with restaurants, art galleries and shops.
One place to relax and soak up the scene is Kinghorns Gardens – a beautiful home on a private tract of land with an extraordinary garden. While you’re there
The sundeck overlooks a fynbos-covered gardenscape and sparkling dam with beautiful Koi fish, with sea views in the distance completing the picture for a deep relaxation sojourn. In addition to a botanical plot and an intimate nature reserve, there’s a small herb and vegetable garden, where guests (and local community members) are invited to pick a selection of homegrown edibles to be used in the creation of their breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The large greenhouse, with its selection of Terracotta-potted succulents, is a horticulturists’ haven and also serves as a propagation site for rare plant species.
Those looking to simply relax and unwind can kick back with a book in one of the many relaxation areas dotted throughout the garden, or enjoy a dip in the solar-heated swimming pool. The nearby village centre is brimming with cafés, shops and restaurants, with a slew of beautiful beaches only a short drive away.
More than just a rental villa, Kinghorns Gardens is a destination in itself, with an enchanting garden and modern creature comforts in a to-die-for setting.
Please note The property is not available for events or weddings, as the integrity of the quiet area and surrounding reserve is extremely important to the owners.
