While you’re there
So how do you fill your days so far from civilisation? During summer, we recommend taking a leisurely stroll along the beach before enjoying a dip in a tidal pool and a picnic on a secluded sand dune.
When the mercury drops, pull up a seat on the ocean-facing deck and whale-spot to your heart’s content with a glass of fine local wine in your hand (season is from July to November).
There are also Lekkerwater’s unique and informative land-based marine-safari experiences that take guests on coastal walks to explore the rockpools and intertidal ecosystems, spotting cetaceans offshore as you go.
Lekkerwater lies in the heart of the majestic Cape Floral Kingdom, so extensive biodiversity is a given.
History buffs should put their names down for the paleontology talks and demonstrations, led by the small team of passionate and highly knowledgeable naturalists.
Whether you choose to lie back and let the ocean-facing setting wash over you, or you decide to go and explore the magnificent coastline, you’re guaranteed to make lifetime memories at Lekkerwater Beach Lodge.
