Nimano Hillside: A Luxe Family Villa in Noordhoek
Relaxed country living overlooking the ocean.
By Inside Guide • 11 May 2023
It’s not often that you find a luxury contemporary villa that really is designed with the whole family in mind. Nimano Hillside, with its stunning views to the ocean over the Noordhoek Valley, was conceived as a holiday sanctuary for themselves and their kids by its German-Austrian owners – and they’ve thought of every last detail.
Indoor-outdoor living

The villa is beautifully airy – a double-volume thatched house with clean lines and contemporary furnishings that major on comfort. Open-plan living areas spill out onto deep verandahs and decks; a wraparound balcony soaks up sunset views from the bedrooms. Luxurious finishes throughout, and all the tech, from high-speed internet to the latest sound-system and appliances (backed-up by solar power when needed) make for exceptionally comfortable living with plenty of personal touches.

Outside, intriguing paths wind past olive and fruit trees and shaded reading nooks to a secret yoga deck surrounded by indigenous gardens. There’s a secluded playground with trampoline, climbing wall and an abundance of toys. The sunset reflects in the heated rim-flow pool surrounded by loungers, day beds and hanging nest chairs. Lawns, steps and winding paths lead you further to discover a spa and sauna, a firepit and a swing with a view. Further still is a vegetable garden that provides herbs and fresh vegetables that your private chef, Natalie Honig, will turn into delicious meals for you.
As you step seamlessly into their dream holiday lifestyle, the owners share with you their surfboards and mountain-bikes, and even (for an extra fee) their Harley-Davidson softail deluxe and BMW 650i convertible cabriolet.
