Love & Light: Sizzling Summer Trance Beats by International DJs

Summer is here to stay, and what better way to celebrate than to get outdoors and dance at Love & Light’s full-day psytrance and techno festival at the Cape Town Ostrich Ranch? The ninth edition of this daytime dance party aims to bring people together in a single space of beautiful energy and amazing music.

Four international acts headline this year – the biggest international showcase for a 12-hour trance festival in South Africa. These DJs include regulars Metronome and Atmos, as well as Protonica and Alter Nature who will be performing at the festival for the first time. The incredible performances will be supported by world-class production and a huge dancefloor.

International lineup

Love & Light is headlined by four major international acts:

• Metronome The Swedish sensation started producing music in early 2000 and quickly established himself among the progressive acts in Sweden and Europe. In 2007, Metronome decided to take a break from music and develop a new, more dynamic sound which he debuted in 2013.
• Atmos Since releasing his first single in 1996, Atmos has developed a well-produced and groovy sound that has made him a staple performer on psytrance stages worldwide.
• Protonica Protonica are a Berlin-based duo, Piet Kaempfer and Ralf Dietze. With Piet’s intuition for harmonies as a skilled pianist and certified sound designer, and Ralf’s feeling for propulsive grooves, Protonica deliver a uniquely positive and pulsing sound.
• Alter Nature André Jonsson from Stockholm, Sweden has been producing music for over two decades, experimenting with drum and bass, ambient and techno. But Jonsson fell in love with psytrance and has been performing on international stages ever since.
