In the mood for some wine-fuelled revelry? Walk this way – the annual Noordhoek Crush is returning to the village this April. What we love about this laidback festival is that you won’t experience any of the snobbery sometimes associated with wine-related events. Here, it’s all about family-friendly fun, with soulful country tunes from folk duo Cocolo, and children’s activities such as face-painting in the kiddies’ play area.
Over 100 wines from 22 wine farms will be available for tasting (pre-order a wristband online for R150 for unlimited tastings). The off-consumption liquor license means you’ll be able to purchase some of it at cellar-door prices. Gin lovers can look forward to three craft gins from Sugarbird Fynbos Gin.
The restaurants in the village will be open, and some of their produce will be available at pop-up stalls on site, so you can line your stomachs with some hearty farm-fresh food before sampling some of the Cape’s finest vintages.
