It starts with a generous harvest table layered with seasonal flavours and bold, fire-led detail. From there, plated mains arrive, each one shaped and refined by the flames.

The afternoon gets a playful dimension as you walk into ROOI’s pastry kitchen for a dessert spread that feels immersive and indulgent. Along the way, the cap classique cart finds you, offering a taste of the province’s finest bubbles. And the apéritif cart brings something a little stronger, perhaps creamy and nostalgic like Amarula, or a herbal and grounding digestif.

A partnership with some of South Africa’s most respected cheese artisans adds a new journey of flavour that travels the country: wheels from KwaZulu-Natal, Gauteng, the Karoo, and more. Some sharp, some mild, all crafted with extraordinary care.

Mother’s Day afternoon tea at Vista Bar & Lounge

Lofty proportions, grand decor and a magnificent view of Table Mountain through floor-to-ceiling windows greet you as you enter the Vista Bar & Lounge, and the glamorous afternoon tea makes a suitably indulgent Mother’s Day occasion worth dressing up for.

Served on characterful stands, taste your way through a delicate feast of savouries, such as BoKaap chicken roti, Franschhoek smoked salmon tartare and tomato and bocconcini blini, as well as buttermilk scones. And sweet temptations like salted-caramel tacos, lemon thyme and raspberry eclairs, pineapple and coconut Lamingtons and many more delights.
