If you’re keen for a weekend of live music, excellent beer and overnight camping, you might want to read on. Saggy Stone Brewing Company is holding its third annual Beer & Music Festival at their very popular riverside microbrewery in Robertson. The date is 9 February 2019, and the venue is Amandalia Farm!
So, where exactly are Amandalia and Saggy Stone?
Saggy Stone Brewing was born in 2010 after brothers Adrian and Phillip Robinson fell in love with the idea of a “beer-brewing farm”. They settled on Amandalia, near the small town of Robertson, and opened a microbrewery, brewpub and restaurant soon after.
Surrounded by plum orchards and built from the farm’s natural river stones, the brewery offers five distinctive brews, produced with the purest spring water, sourced from the headspring at the top of the Langeberg mountains.
Beer, music and camping… Who could ask for anything more?
In addition to Saggy Stone’s top-notch craft beers, revellers can enjoy overnight camping (if that’s your vibe) and great music from some of SA’s hottest acts. The 2019 line-up includes:
- Karen Zoid
- Jack Parow
- The Kiffness
Camping comes at the princely sum of R65 (you’ll need to bring your own tent and equipment), which includes a laid-back vibe, tidy toilets and other facilities. Regrettably, no pets are allowed at the festival.
If you’re after something more luxurious, there are three glamping options, ranging from R600 to R2 950. The Economy Domes include a tent and two single foam mattresses (bedding not included); the Luxury Domes are larger, safari-style tents, and come with two high-quality foam mattresses and bedding; while the Luxury Bell Tents are five-diametre-sized heavy canvas bell tents comes with a king-sized bed, bedding, lighting, a carpet and bean bags to relax on.
The event is limited to a maximum of 2 000 people, so book now for 12 hours of nonstop music, great beer, and so much more.
