Asoka: 3 courses for R265 on Mondays
A revamped Victorian house decorated with a lavish helping of eastern promise, Asoka is an atmospheric bar and restaurant built around a 150-year-old, fairy-lit olive tree on Kloof Street. If you’re feeling peckish on a Monday, Asoka’s three-course dinner special is not to be missed. Pick one dish from each section of the shortened menu (choose a different one each and share obvs). Chef Nicholas Oliphant’s fare includes Asian ostrich tartare, beef tacos, wild mushroom and gorgonzola arancini and crispy pork belly among others. And one of the legendarily divine desserts to finish.

fable: All Day Happy Hour
The inventive line-up of drinks at fable pulls in a discerning crowd with its novel approach to lighting up the night.
