The Athletic Club and Social has welcomed a new sibling to the famiglia! La Trip is a discreet new social club and restaurant, hidden away off Buitengracht Street, which celebrates a retro Italian vibe in décor and style.
Expect masterly cocktails and a lively scene. Swedish consultant chef Anna Broms (whose background includes high-end restaurants in London, Spain and France) puts a new twist on local ingredients with a Mediterranean-inspired menu of small plates: think charcoal Cape octopus with chorizo, and Saldanha Bay mussels escabeche.
