And the versatile menu of tapas dishes works just as well for a quick bite at the bar with a classic cocktail, as it does for a laidback dinner with a few glasses of wine.

Bold seasonal flavours emerge from the menu, which puts creative and elevated twists on traditional South African meets global fare. Think roosterkoekies with bovril butter, grana padano and biltong; or lamb arancini with a tamatie bredie dip. There are falafel lollipops with ponzu, mac and cheese croquettes, and the ‘Not Wagyu’ beef and pancetta skewers with smoked horseradish. All the dishes are sparkling with vibrant flavours and designed to share.

The wine list spotlights wines from neighbouring estates, Vergelegen, Morgenster and Lourensford, as well as wines from sister properties Ridgeback in Paarl and Eagles’ Nest in Constantia, as well as a carefully chosen selection of noteworthy South African estates. And they shake or stir up a mean selection of creative cocktails too.
