It’s Scottish owners Alex and Ruth Grahame left the icy climes of Aberdeen, where they owned a seafood restaurant, opting instead to open shop in Cape Town. At SeaBreeze, fresh and exciting versions of traditional seafood offerings are the order of the day – think hake ceviche with cream cheese and squid ink mayo; silverfish with braaied corn and salse verde; and a fresh line-caught tuna burger with crispy onions, among other delicious-sounding options.
We love that there’s a cool rum bar at the back of the shop. “There are already quite a few gin bars in the city,” explains Alex, “so we decided to try something different.” Aye, aye, we say, time to wet the ol’ pipe with a glass o’ grog!
