Thali Restaurant

Thali Restaurant

If you’re still not over the closing of Takumi, you’ll be pleased to know that not only did Papa San open a new sushi restaurant on Long Street, but that his former space is the home of an exciting new eatery: an Indian-style tapas bar conceived by none other than Chefs Warehouse guru Liam Tomlin, in partnership with Dimo Papachristodoulou (Fat Cactus and Long Street Cafe), and with head chef John van Zyl at the helm.

Thali takes you on a visual journey where intricate postcard art, kaleidoscopic patterns, vibrant colour and Indian intrigue abound. The interiors (five different sections) and garden area make for an exotic and unique eating experience indeed!

Try the tapas for two, which includes eight dishes, with the likes of tantalising tandoori chicken, as well as golden lamb and chicken curries included in the mix.
