Anna Rosholt: African-Inspired Jewellery in the Heart of Cape Town

After more than a decade of quietly growing a loyal and passionate following, Anna Rosholt Jewellery has opened a new jewellery studio in the heart of Cape Town. On the second floor of a beautiful heritage building on Long Street, a short walk from Greenmarket Square, the studio is a hidden sanctuary above the city bustle – the perfect space to browse, shop, have a design appointment or build your own charms.

Founder and designer Anna Rosholt’s bespoke pieces are opulent, sculptural, bold and steeped in African symbolism, a reflection of her love for the natural world and heritage. “Untamed elegance” is how she describes her style: two seemingly incongruent elements working together to make pieces that are “much more interesting to look at. There’s something really interesting in the tension between things that are sophisticated and refined, but also earthy and authentic,” she says. From gold-dipped dung beetles to leopard-inspired charms, each design is made with uncompromising attention to detail and a clear artistic vision.

Rooted in craft, inspired by Africa

Anna’s designs are inspired by the African landscape and wildlife. A celebration of the textures, colours and creatures that shape the world around her. A big part of the offering is spending time with Anna in her studio to create a custom piece that speaks to you, holds your meaning, tells your story (and looks fabulous all the while). Anna is known for creating custom engagement rings that stand out. 

In addition, Anna also offers ready-to-ship and semi-customisable engagement and wedding rings. Rings inspired by the moment you look at your person and say: “Let’s get married!” They are for the marriers who just can’t wait!

The studio houses a magnificently detailed and curated selection of charms, synonymous with the Anna Roshalt brand. Perfect for stacking on hoops or layering on necklaces, her charms range from dainty and pretty to bold and chunky – impossible not to love. 

If you’re looking for a little something to celebrate your trip to Africa, her charms are perfect. A fan favourite is the leopard charm or the tiny beetle charm. They’re small, meaningful symbols you can take home and treasure.
