The Adara Restaurant Fireside Special: R545 for 3 Courses

The oak-shaded and hydrangea-frilled restaurant terrace at Adara Palmiet Valley gives way to cosy fireside dining in the historic Cape Dutch manor house in winter. Looking out on the lush gardens and a scenic backdrop of the Drakenstein Mountains, there’s a blissful sense of escape and tranquillity on this 300-year-old Paarl farm. For winter, chef Gaymari Bothma creates changing daily menus highlighting the seasonal produce from the estate gardens, perhaps a Caesar salad or a beetroot tartare, followed by kudu loin or beef medallions, and a decadent dessert to finish. A glass of estate wine is included.
