Karoo-inspired open-fire cooking!
This fiery hotspot on Bree Street draws inspiration from desert landscapes and big skies – from the Karoo to the Kalahari – while the food and cocktails celebrate South Africa’s love of open-fire cooking, reimagined with a twist.
This flame-kissed ethos carries through into their winter specials menu – a three-part feast that brings the heat. Start with nachos piled with avo, lime cream and four-cheese sauce; or a jaffle loaded with tomato, Boerenkaas, onion and chutney. For mains, choose between boerewors with bacon jam and chipotle sauce and corn ribs; beer-battered kingklip with tartar sauce and crispy rosemary spuds; or red-lentil dahl with fire-roasted cauliflower, sultanas, hazelnuts and peri-peri pickled cucumbers. End on a high with skillet malva pudding topped with rooibos custard and vanilla ice cream.
