The Cellars-Hohenort Sunday Lunch: R325 for 3 Courses

The Cellars-Hohenort Hotel is something of an institution, its historic buildings, magical gardens and majestic camphor trees giving it a country house aura that feels miles from the city. As does the winding Constantia country road that leads to its secluded setting on the slopes of the mountain. A hearty three-course Sunday lunch kicks off with a choice of garden pea veloute or an aged Boland double-baked cheese souffle. Then a classic Sunday roast with roast beef, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and seasonal vegetables. Finish off with a traditional malva pudding with crème anglaise and vanilla bean ice cream.
