Grande Roche: R295 for the Grande Grill Lunch

Pioneer of seasonal menus and hyper-local sourcing, chef Christiaan Campbell has brought his fresh modern approach to Grande Roche, the history-steeped Cape Dutch manor house and hotel in Paarl. The Grande Grill Lunch winter special, served beside one of two roaring fires, is simplicity itself: choose either a 250g free-range sirloin steak, or grilled fish of the day, both served with Thousand Layer crunchy potatoes and a market garden salad, together with a glass of Under Oaks wine. And on fine winter days the sun-drenched terrace calls with Paarl Valley views.
