A blissful stay among the vines.
Celebrating three decades as a luxury Winelands destination, Grande Roche’s three centuries of history have earned it the accolade of “Pearl of Paarl”. With vine-tastic views to the Drakenstein mountains, every winding path reveals its story: Cape Dutch gables, thatched cellars and stables (now converted into luxury accommodation) and productive vines right up to the doorstep.
Revitalised in 2019 by new owners, Paarl locals Hansie and Theresa Britz, the iconic hotel, and its elegant yet cosy restaurant, has become an inspiring gourmet getaway.
This year, Grande Roche’s popular winter special is being extended into spring, offering a wonderful midyear break in the Winelands.

The restaurant recently introduced a sharing-plates experience for lunch and dinner featuring global flavours and a sustainable, seasonal approach to ingredients.
