About the restaurant For 55 years, The Hussar Grill has been a premier grill room, respected by meat-lovers all over the country for its easy-going, all-occasions atmosphere. With 20 restaurants across South Africa, the secret to its success is surely their consistently well-prepared delicious food, award-winning winelist and warm reception.
Menu favourites include carefully aged grilled-to-perfection steaks, and spare ribs that literally fall off the bone. And while their beef, venison and game cuts are legendary, there’s also a host of chicken, seafood and salad dishes to choose from. We’ve got our eye on the new pure-beef gourmet burger that comes with a choice of two toppings – bacon, biltong, feta, blue-cheese crumble, fried egg or avocado – as well as crispy chips. If you’re keen on the vegetarian options, try the gnocchi with wild mushroom and roasted butternut, topped with feta crumble.

Good to know
- If you opt for two courses, starters are a choice between: tomato soup with cream; sautéed chicken livers; or tender fried calamari strips.

Please note The Hussar Grill Camps Bay is only open in the evening and The Hussar Grill Rondebosch is closed for lunch on Saturdays.
