Kloof Street House Lunch Special: R250 for 2 Courses

Housed in an old Victorian building, this courtyard restaurant, set back from the bustling high street, is like stepping into the pages of The Great Gatsby. The twinkling fairy lights and velvet cushions lining the garden seating area, together with the warmly lit interiors, make this one of Kloof Street’s most romantic haunts for a special occasion, date night, brunch, or a no-excuses-needed meal with family and friends. Chef Webster Dube’s winter lunch special is an invitation to feast on bistro classics such as West Coast mussels in coconut broth; peri-peri chicken livers with toasted garlic ciabatta; hearty osso buco; and café de Paris sirloin. And you can order their house wines by the glass or carafe. End on a sweet note with your choice of indulgent desserts: warmed brownie and vanilla ice cream; or traditional malva pudding with creme anglaise and pistachio.
