La Colombe Lunch Special: R1 395 for 5 Courses

High up on the slopes of the Constantiaberg mountains, Silvermist Wine Estate is a veritable jewel in the Constantia Wine Valley’s crown. And it’s here you’ll find Scot Kirton’s renowned La Colombe, a regular on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list. The stylishly pared-back interior is the perfect canvas for executive chef James Gaag and his team to conjure creative French-Asian dishes using foraged and seasonal produce that they magically finesse into immaculately plated dishes. There’s no better time to enjoy the iconic signature dish, ‘Tuna La Colombe’ (served in a tin), which features on this winter’s Silvermist Vegetable Garden lunch menu, along with tandoori tiger prawn and quail, aged duck, a dessert mixing artichoke, chocolate and hazelnut, and of course bread to begin with (paired with truffle butter).
