The Tree House + Kiddies’ Outdoor Experience at Boschendal

The Tree House + Kiddies’ Outdoor Experience at Boschendal

A multifaceted adventure zone, offering an awesome array of activities for all ages and tastes.

In the age of technology, where screen time is the major barrier preventing children from playing outside (and developing their creativity and imaginations), immersive experiences that get them into (and excited about) the outdoors is worth gold!

That was certainly top of mind when the team responsible for The Tree House at Boschendal conceptualised this captivating wonderland of fun and educational activities. Not only does it seamlessly combine learning with play, but the variety of firsthand farm experiences offered is all rooted in sustainability.

In addition to the variety of supervised activities (The Outdoor Experience), there is a free treehouse-themed playground as well as a pump track, both of which require parental supervision.

The Outdoor Experience

Boschendal Kids Outdoor Experience

Available to in-house guests and day visitors, the Outdoor Experiences are fully supervised and need to be pre-booked, as there are 10 spaces available per slot.

Parents can book their child(ren) in for the whole day, or for one of three two-hour activities, which include fruit foraging, learning the art of fire-making (then braaiing marshmallows afterwards) plus other exciting and educational games and tasks.

Not only does this programme offer grown-ups the opportunity to enjoy all the sensory pursuits on offer, but it’s also a wonderfully immersive setup where children (aged 5 to 14 years) learn firsthand about the working farm under the supervision of professional guides.
