Fairmont Spa at Cape Grace: Luxury Inspired by Nature

The Fairmont Spa is the latest glow-up in the transformation of the Cape Grace, the iconic Mother City hotel and resident queen of the Waterfront’s exclusive yacht marina. A secret hideaway in the hub of the harbour (cue distant sound of seagulls overhead), the serene space includes three treatment rooms (including a couple’s suite with private steam room and balcony); a calming salt room; a sauna and steam room; and a sensation shower. After your treatments, wander out to a sun lounger by the heated pool, and relax over drinks and gourmet eats from the Pool Bar, soaking up views across the yacht marina to Table Mountain.

Fynbos scents

In keeping with Fairmont’s “A Sense of Place” philosophy, the essence of the Cape’s natural kingdom is incorporated into immersive wellbeing treatments inspired by the scent of fynbos, the ocean spray and the coastal setting. Luxuriate in the aromas of locally sourced botanical oils and Esse’s proudly South African “rewilding” probiotic skincare products in bespoke rituals, from rejuvenating facials to deeply soothing massages.

And once your treatment is done, stay and make the most of the gloriously soothing facilities. We particularly love the salt room, a haven of relaxation. And the wonderful sensation shower… for a most invigorating experience, set it to “Caribbean Storm” and abandon yourself to the chirping of tropical birds before a thunder and lightning strike.

This summer the spa is offering a fully personalised experience where every element, from treatment choice to sensory details, is thoughtfully curated for you. Start with a consultation where an expert therapist guides you through a choice of treatments best suited for your wellness journey to decide on 120 minutes of therapeutic pampering. The package includes access to all the spa facilities as you move through a sensory pathway where heat, water and air unite – from soothing steam and sauna to refreshing experience shower and healing halotherapy. And a Mediterranean inspired lunch on the Pool Terrace, where you can relax beside the heated swimming pool and soak up Table Mountain views.
