There's fine wine and fun for the whole family at this weekly market in Noordhoek.
Frequented by the likes of Masterchef SA judge Peter Goffe-Wood, and Cape Point Vineyards’ resident chef, Jonathan Gargan, this weekly community market is where south peninsula locals – and out-of-towners – flock every Thursday evening for an array of street food-style dishes, live music and stunning views.
The festivities take place in the restaurant and picnic area of Cape Point Vineyards, whose award-winning wines are available at great prices. When it’s chilly, the outdoor fire pit is the ideal place to congregate for an open-air chat, glass of vino in hand, or venture indoors and secure a spot next to the cosy fireplace.
Other highlights include ample parking, long stretches of open grass with a jungle gym for the little ones to blow off steam, live music, and an array of food trucks selling delicious things to eat and drink.
Stand-out food trucks include:
- The Lamb Man for melt-in-your-mouth lamb neck
- Lean Gains for Mexican grub
- Earth Fire Pizza for crispy wood-fired pizza
- Donut Factory for vegan donuts
- Gourmet Mac ’n Cheese
- Amethyst for imported silver and gemstone jewellery
Please note No pets are allowed, and no food or beverages from outside can be brought into the market area.
