The Kitchen Collective: Fun + Interactive Cooking Classes
No-pressure, fun-filled cooking courses.
By Inside Guide • 03 September 2019
Owner and self-taught chef Denise Levy invites you to her spangly new studio in town – to learn a thing or two about popular global cuisines. To complement her own amassed travel experiences and culinary knowledge, Denise is joined in the kitchen by the likes of Liam Tomlin (her own food hero); chef-patron of Riverine Rabbit, Ash Heeger; private chef Arabella Parkinson; and chef and cookbook author, Jason Whitehead, to name a few. The courses include a range of different cuisines – from Asian to Mediterranean and, of course, local SA fare.
Calling all passionate foodies
Bonding with friends, family and other passionate foodies while cooking and eating is the essence of The Kitchen Collective’s concept but, importantly, these classes incorporate a rather unique and non-intimidating free-style approach. You can choose to get stuck into preparing a range of delicious dishes, under the watchful eye of the chef, stand back and watch in wonder, or recline with a glass of wine, as you strike up a conversation with fellow guests – the choice is entirely yours.
The gift that keeps giving
These courses also make wonderful gifts, where the recipient(s) can enjoy shared experiences with friends and simultaneously hone their culinary skills.
Please note The original Ginger & Lime venue – Denise’s kitchen in Sea Point – is still available for private functions, but most courses will be held at The Kitchen Collective, in the City Bowl.
