Serene self-care

The luxury spa has a varied range of holistic treatments, rituals and healing therapies in which to indulge – massages, facials, body scrubs and wraps, manis and pedis – using renowned brands such as Ayurveda-led ila (exclusive to Steenberg Spa in the Cape), QMS, Bellabaci and Margaret Dabbs.

There are five indoor treatment rooms (including a couple’s room), and the secluded and enchanting Scented Garden and Secret Garden alfresco treatment areas, surrounded by flowers and greenery.

As well as romantic couples’ journeys, the spa has options for special group gatherings, as well as for tweens and teens. 

Degrees of delight

Steenberg Spa’s Thermal Suite is an immersive outdoor ritual that uses the sensorial contrast of heat and cold to awaken vitality and leave you feeling utterly rejuvenated in body and mind.

In the sauna, the dry heat soothes muscles, promotes detoxing and enhances circulation. This is followed by an exhilarating Nordic ice-bucket shower, which further boosts circulation, revitalises the skin and gives you a dose of pure energy. Or you might choose a dip in the ice bath, which reduces inflammation and leaves you feeling recharged and renewed. Then it’s back to the sauna and repeat…

This hot-and-cold therapy experience is wonderful as a prelude or follow-on to other treatments. Either way, you’ll find it’s utterly addictive.

After your treatment the Pool House is the place to let all that relaxation and pampering work its way deep into your core.
