Dust and Dynamite: A Rocking, Rodeo-Style Saloon in the East City

Stepping through the swing doors into this rocking, rodeo-style saloon on Caledon Street, you’ll feel like you’ve been dropped onto the set of a Spaghetti Western. Decorated from head to toe in all kinds of Wild West paraphernalia – cowboy hats dangling from the ceiling, confederate flags, bright-red theatre curtains, an old honky-tonk piano against a wall, and wood panelling everywhere, it’s cross between The Good the Bad And The Ugly and Once Upon A Time In The West. The biggest difference is that there are Harleys rather than horses tied up outside.

Owner Wayne Keet is a real-life cowboy from another era. He built the bar with his own two hands so he can play his own music the way he wants, and he’s expanded it recently to include a pocket-size stage and theatre as part of the bar.
