Taking pride of place on Chelsea Village’s high street, Four & Twenty has been a long-time favourite of brunch-loving hedonists and health-conscious foodies alike. The charming café, run by Tracy-Leigh Gaag and her team, serves some of the best all-day breakfasts and bakes in town. And now you’ll be able to get your fix at its brand-new spot at Constantia Uitsig Wine Estate.
Four & Twenty 2.0

“After eight and a bit years of running my Wynberg store, I was finally brave enough and felt my team was strong enough to tackle this new challenge”, says Tracy-Leigh on the opening of her new baby. “When I was invited by the farm to nestle in among the other cottages at Uitsig and when I saw the cosy fireplace and the breathtaking views, my heart started fluttering. I couldn’t help but be drawn to this gorgeous setting, and I was ready and inspired to venture into a new fresh space and it was the perfect location to expand the Four & Twenty brand,” she adds.
So what’s on the menu?

The new eatery offers the same deliciousness as the Wynberg branch but with a few tweaks here and there. You’ll find their indulgent Benedict menu with four different kinds to choose from (yes, please!), including the Green Eggs & Ham Benedict with poached eggs, Dijon-brushed sourdough, basil Hollandaise and crispy hickory ham.
There are also build-your-own breakfast options, a breakfast bowl, and flapjacks with caramelised banana and pecan streusel.

Let’s also not forget about their glorious freshly baked treats, including a range of different scones and muffins.
Lazy lunches with a view

The cosy café offers a colourful variety of lunch options, too, such as spicy calamari salad with mango, chilli and confit garlic and a classic and comforting ham-and-cheese toastie with a bechamel and honey-mustard glaze.
All of the above go beautifully with a glass (or bottle) of Constantia Uitsig wine. Alternatively, there’s an array of fresh juices, coffees and silk-teabag brews. If the sun is out, nab a spot on the porch and take in the breathtaking wine-farm views.
Good to know Weekend sundowners are in the pipeline, so keep your eyes on Four & Twenty’s Instagram for any announcements.

uitsig will never be the same since the restaraunt was closed by a very selfish woman a few years ago, it went from the best in CT to nothing
