It’s all new at Jordan Restaurant this spring – a new star chef, a total refurb, and a name to match. Wine estate owner, Gary Jordan, once declared his two favourite chefs in the world were George Jardine and Marthinus Ferreira. And now Marthinus has taken over the reins of the newly re-vamped Stellenbosch Winelands restaurant from George, bringing his own signature style.
Marthinus Ferreira made his name with experimental, lightly nostalgic fine-dining cuisine at DW Eleven-13 in Jozi (he’s keeping that going with a flying commute – known for being a demon for work and a perfectionist with big dreams). With global influences from years spent working abroad under names such as Gordon Ramsay and Heston Blumenthal, his sizzling new menu at Jordan Wine Estate is going to be one to watch. Booking is essential.
