Boschendal Farm Shop: Unique Homeware + Artisanal Deli Goods

Boschendal Farm Shop

This beautifully merchandised farm shop is stocked to the rafters with fresh produce, pantry and freezer staples and a delicious selection of locally designed homeware.

With its ancient oaks, foresty expanses of unmanicured gardens and dramatic mountain and vineyard vistas, Boschendal is blessed with some enviable endowments, all of which provide a canvas for the ultimate Winelands fantasy, and inform all the other attractions on offer at this bucolic destination.

The estate’s additional attractions include a casual fine-dining restaurant, world-acclaimed wines, picturesque picnics, epic mountain-biking trails, an award-winning butchery, a one-of-a-kind children’s wonderland – each designed, managed and maintained with the utmost care and attention to the environment and the local communities with whom they share the landscape. Its latest addition, a brand-new beautifully merchandised farm shop opened in September 2020.

On the shelves, you’ll find organic vegetables, flowers and herbs, a delicious new range of condiments, pickles and preserves (we love the peach and granadilla jam), charcuterie, homemade frozen meals, wine (naturally) and an exclusive range of locally designed homeware, all ethically sourced and sustainable.

Bespoke at Boschendal

We’ve fallen in love with Botega’s black ceramic crockery made exclusively for and available at Boschendal – beautiful to look at and even better to eat and drink from. Other items you won’t find anywhere else are bespoke handmade linens from Barrydale Weavers in the Klein Karoo, textiles and embroideries from Angela Swain and Chile Co, and a selection of handcrafted baskets designed exclusively for Boschendal, made using traditional techniques and natural materials.

You’ll also find beautiful oak and olive-wood chopping boards made on the farm, as well as crockery by Wonki Ware and Storm in a Teacup. Says Georgie Davidson, Boschendal’s CEO: “We are proud to celebrate the talents of our team and our brilliant partners, along with the produce from our beloved livestock. We hope the fruits of our labour will go further to demonstrate the pleasures to be drawn from supporting the local community and investing in the future of our environment.”
