Offering a dizzying smorgasbord of fine food, these local delicatessens are open (and would appreciate your business).
There’s something deliciously wholesome about shopping at a deli. Not in virtue-signalling kind of way… but in a support-your-local-butcher-baker-cheesemaker kind of way. Somehow buying your favourite round of Dalewood fromage from a charming farmstall or back-of-beyond shoppe feels so much more rewarding than grabbing it off a packed-supermarket shelf (not to mention safer)!
It’s a win for all parties – we get to support local purveyors while stocking up on hand-crafted, artisanal delights.
We hope you’ll find our roundup of local delis around Cape Town and the Winelands as useful, convenient and delicious as we do.
Is your favourite deli open? Or maybe your best restaurant has pivoted into a deli of sorts? We and our readers would love to know about it. Get in touch with us at hello@insideguide.co.za.
