Kyle Burn

Started cheffing at pubs in the UK. Graduated from culinary school before moving to The Showroom in Cape Town, where he worked under chef Bruce Robinson. Worked with George Jardine at his original Bree Street restaurant for a year and a half, then moved to Dubai where he worked at Nobu for two years. Returned to South Africa, worked at Delaire Graff for two years, before joining the kitchen at Jordan Restaurant, where he was reunited with George Jardine.

For a guilty pleasure The Dog’s Bollocks at YARD has monster burgers.
For a Winelands experience Jordan Restaurant
For authentic cuisine Groot Phesantekraal [in Durbanville]. He does a great American-style breakfast: bacon and waffles and maple syrup.
Best new restaurant Wolfgat
Best “oldie but goodie” La Mouette
The best restaurant overall It has to be The Test Kitchen. The whole experience is out of this world.
