Ember & Oak Special: Buy 2, Get 3 Small Plates

An established favourite on the Constantia Uitsig block, Ember & Oak fills the gap with an informal but tasty array of global tapas. Tim and Judy Pick serve delicious small plates to enjoy beside the fireplace – or on the terrace (enclosed, with heaters and blankets in winter). The often-changing menu draws a crowd of repeat customers; the plates may be small but they’re big on flavour. Think sticky Asian pork ribs with gochugang peanut crumb; lamb curry with lemon pickle yoghurt, dhanya chutney and toasted roti; boerenkaas and brisket sausage with mustard crema and crispy onions; or Mexican street corn (refried corn with mole BBQ sauce and queso fresco). Pair your plates with a glass or two of Uitsig wine, some craft beer, or cocktails during happy (two) hours, every Tuesday to Saturday, from 4pm – 6pm.
