FYN Winter Lunch Special: R1 175 for 5 Courses

A regular on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list (coming in at #60 for 2024), chef Peter Tempelhoff’s restaurant offers one of the city’s most exciting epicurean experiences. Located in a sophisticated, loft-style space in the innercity, here you’ll find an intriguing blend of African-inspired decor and cuisine with a unique Japanese twist.
The five-course winter lunch menu runs the full gamut of flavours and textures. Savour the likes of burnt mushroom custard with mosbolletjie, Cape Malay pickled yellowtail, Atlantic ridge kingklip, and stuffed Bapsfontein quail (to name a few!). Dessert includes mochi (with Silesia variety granadillas, rooibos, and light Silesia meringue) or traditional wagashi. Each yields a hit of flavour so lingering and sublime, you never want it to end.
