Grub & Vine Winter Weekday Specials: R499 for 3 Courses + Wine

Right at the bustling heart of Bree Street, Matt Manning’s three-storey enclave of food, wine and culture (overlooking Heritage Square) is a must-visit destination on Cape Town’s foodie map. At its heart is Grub & Vine, living up to his original vision of serving good, honest cooking alongside excellent wines. This winter there’s a different three-course winter special each day of the week. Each menu kicks off with soup of the day, includes a glass of wine and concludes with a dessert of malva pudding madeleines with ginger ice cream and frozen walnut parfait. It’s the main course that switches things up: Veg & Vine Tuesdays have a weekly changing main with vegetarian options; Wednesday is Steak Night Date Night with steak and chips to share and a bottle of house wine too; Fresh Fish Thursdays put the catch of the day in the spotlight; and Fridays are for the bistro’s famous Beef Wellington.
