The Vine Bistro’s modern bistro menu has always had its roots in traditional French cooking, inspired by chef patron Christophe Dehosse’s culinary heritage and the best seasonal produce. For the special, Christophe delves deeper into his French food memories, adding iconic favourites to the à la carte menu that have a special personal connection. Warm up with classics such as:  soupe à l’oignon (French onion soup au gratin); langue de veau pochée (poached veal tongue with gribiche sauce); cassoulet Toulousain (traditional cassoulet with pork belly, duck and Toulouse sausage); moules-frites (West Coast mussels with French fries and mayonnaise); or daube de boeuf à la Provençale braised beef flatiron with tomatoes, olives and soubise mash). The menu of iconic French dishes is good value and, with a glass or two of Glenelly Estate’s fine wine, is comfort on a plate.
