Anthonij Rupert Wyne: The Best Things To Do at this Franschhoek Estate
A day of pleasurable pursuits in the Franschhoek Winelands.
By Inside Guide • 28 October 2021
L’Ormarins Estate, where Anthonij Rupert Wyne’s award-winning vintages are produced, is not your average wine farm. Far from it. The illustrious estate, dating back to 1694, offers an array of pleasurable attractions that appeal to gourmands and motor enthusiasts alike.
Driving up the estate’s tree-lined driveway, one is transported to a Downton Abbey-esque manor house with perfectly manicured lawns and awe-inspiring mountain views completing the picture. Then, it’s up to you how you decide to fill your day. Here are the options:
Wine-and-cheese pairing at Anthonij Rupert

The estate is home to two elegant tasting rooms that boast beautiful views of the verdant valley and the Groot Drakenstein Mountains. There is a range of pairings to choose from, but if we had to pick a favourite, we’d recommend the Italian cheese-and-wine experience, where local and imported cheeses are paired with wines from the Italian-inspired Terra del Capo range.
