Lanzerac Spa: Five-Star Treatments in the Winelands

Lanzerac Spa

Natural beauty and world-class amenities await…

Surrounded by vineyards and beautiful mountains is a place of serenity and soul-stirring beauty. Lanzerac, one of the oldest wine estates in Stellenbosch, beckons with a top-tier hotel, superb dining options, stellar wine-tasting, and its trump card: a five-star spa.

With a light-filled, glass-enclosed relaxation lounge that includes a heated pool and loungers on a terrace overlooking the valley, plus its own health café for nourishing visitors, it’s the perfect place to retreat to for a little loving R&R.

Top-drawer facilities

Lanzerac Spa Facilities

The hydrotherapy facilities are enticing – mist rooms, a steam room and sauna, two traditional rasul chambers (for steamy, Middle Eastern-style scrubs) and a sparkling-blue indoor heated pool with a jacuzzi on the side. One could easily while away a day here.

There are eight spacious and luxuriously appointed treatment rooms (including two couples’ rooms and a universal room) and a NeoQi Mediq cocoon (for water-based treatments and aroma-saunas). Every inch of you, from top to toe, can be pampered and revitalised in this oasis of wellness.

Vine-inspired products

Lanzerac Spa Vineyard

Befitting its wine-farm setting, grape-based TheraVine products are used, as well as African-inspired TheraNaka treatments and natural-skincare brand Elemis. Marula, shea butter, African potato extract and rooibos feature alongside olive oil, Himalayan salt, lavender, ginger and more. Mineral-rich seawater and seaweed are also extensively used. In keeping with its beautiful location, the spa’s products are environmentally friendly too.

Global luxury

Lanzerac Spa Products

Lanzerac Spa also offers multi-sensory treatments inspired by four evocative corners of the planet and botanicals found there. The Académie range of products include Sakura (cherry blossom) from Japan, tiare flower from the Polynesian Pacific islands, papaya from the Amazon and pine from the far northern Arctic. They are used in beauty rituals ranging from body scrubs and massages to lymph drainage and reflexology. The result is velvety soft, deeply nourished skin and relaxed, soothed muscles – and a mind that has dreamily explored a different place.

Tip-top treatments

Lanzerac Spa Treatments

The spa menu is focused on facials, body treatments and massages. Included in these are trusted techniques and complementary therapies such as dry-brushing, Vibro-massage, body wraps (in clay, cream or gel form), pressure-point scalp massages and micro-needling.

Whether you’re after relaxation, a circulation boost or a slimming treatment, one of the 10 massage options is sure to give you exactly what your body needs. The TheraNaka massages are especially indulgent rituals, using wooden implements or hot herbal poultices.

If you’re looking for a hydrating, nourishing or anti-ageing facial, you’ll be spoilt for choice with eight Elemis options and seven TheraVine facials (including the top-drawer 24-carat gold and diamond dust mask).

The menu features such delights as a carrot-cake smoothie and actual carrot cake; a breakfast tortilla, pancake stacks, smoked-salmon wraps, springrolls with a peanut herb dip, yellow Thai curry, and crostini with stewed hibiscus-vinegar tomatoes and ricotta.

Lanzerac Spa Food

There’s also a rainbow of freshly pressed raw juices. Of course, should you want to enjoy any of Lanzerac’s world-class wines as you wind down after your treatments, that’s no problem.
