Kick off the weekend with a relaxed and fun outing for the whole family.
If you wind your way along the leafy Spaanschemat River Road, you’ll stumble upon Constantia Waldorf School, where this weekly earth-friendly market takes place.
From 11am until 3pm every Friday, members of the public are invited into the school grounds to stock up on fresh-from-the-farm goods in a huge marquee. From organic and biodynamic fruits and vegetables and freshly baked breads to dairy products, poultry, eggs, and even handmade crafts and clothing, there’s loads on offer for all members of the family.
We recommend splurging on a crêpe from Afri-Crêpes or an iced treat from the Ice Cream Guys, while you peruse the handmade kiddies’ clothing and purchase some seedlings from the youngest vendor – a 10-year-old who sells garden-related stuff. And be sure to buy a bag full of fresh produce from farmer Comrade Carrot before you go.

I would love to attend the market, but unfortunately I work all day. Do you ever have one on Saturdays?

Very very disappointed with the whole market.
