Soar high above the city…
With its fairytale-esque topography, Cape Town is the most beautiful city in the world. Fact. So, what better way to experience its true majesty than with an adrenaline-pumping adventure?
Don’t fly off the rails, we have the details
On the day of your adventure, you’ll meet your instructor at the end of Signal Hill Drive or Lion’s Head parking (depending on the weather of the day), where they will take you through some guidelines before your “flight”.
Your instructor will then clip you in securely, and you’ll be attached to an expert pilot, who’ll walk a few steps with you… off the side of the mountain… and then into thin air! Once in the air, all you have to do is sit back and relax as you gradually glide at a maximum of 40km an hour to Sea Point’s popular promenade.
Flights last between five and 30 minutes, depending on the wind. You do not need any previous knowledge or experience of paragliding – simply arrive at the takeoff point in comfortable clothing (closed shoes, long pants and a windbreaker).
In perfect weather conditions, the instructor will show you how to steer so that you can fly the paraglider yourself!
Good to know
- Covid precautions are followed, including the wearing of masks and pre-screening.
- Drinking some water before the flight is recommended.
- Apply sunscreen before your flight.
- After the flight, you’ll be driven back to the parking area where you started.
