Zipline Over Forests + Waterfalls in Grabouw

Zipline Over Forests + Waterfalls in Grabouw

Soar above fynbos forests and thundering waterfalls, with the help of expert guides.

There’s little to compare to the exhilaration of looking down into a gaping canyon as you slide along a steel cable. If the thrill of that appeals, you, too, can soar over fynbos forests, majestic valleys and thundering waterfalls in this zipline adventure, named by Lonely Planet as one of the best attractions in the world.

An exhilarating zipline adventure

Based in the Hottentots Holland Nature Reserve, about an hour out of Cape Town, the tour kicks off with a 4×4 ride high into the mountains, where guests are supervised by professional guides as they attach themselves to cables that run from platform to platform.

The tours depart on the hour, and each takes around four hours. There are 11 slides in total, some as long as 300 metres, and each ending on a platform built amid the fynbos and rugged mountain slopes. At one point, you’ll cross a suspension bridge that runs over a majestic double waterfall – all in a day’s work for rugged mountain adventurers.

Included in the tour package:

  • the services of two professional guides
  • transport from the base camp to the location, and back again
  • lunch upon return to the base camp
  • rain gear for wet weather
  • tour videos

So if you’re ready for a high-flying adventure amid spectacular surroundings, this is one you won’t soon forget.

Good to know Owners of a SANparks wild card pay a reduced rate of R855 (instead of R895) for their zipline adventure.
