When the IMAX theatre at the V&A Waterfront closed down in 2004, scores of moviegoers were left bitterly disappointed. Fast forward to 2014: IMAX returned to the Mother City, with its new home at Ster Kinekor CapeGate.
Like all IMAX cinemas across the globe, the CapeGate theatre has a crystal-clear projection system, world-class digital sound and, of course, a floor-to-ceiling and wall-to-wall screen that’s all-encompassing – why would you want to watch movies anywhere else?

I’m sorry to hear you can’t get a hold of Ster Kinekor to check if Bohemian Rhapsody will be showing on Imax. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like it will be showing on Imax. However, I cannot confirm that as we are also unable to reach Ster Kinekor either.

However, the Galileo Open Air Cinema screens classic films, and have screened The Dark Knight before.
