Taaibosch Manor House: Lead

If you’re looking for an archetypal Stellenbosch Winelands getaway steeped in history, and with all the contemporary creature comforts, the historic Manor House at Taaibosch might just be it.

Bought in 2016 by the Oddos, a French wine-making family, as their South African outpost, the boutique estate has been meticulously converted to organic farming; the superb terroir producing its renowned Crescendo blend. Taaibosch isn’t open to the public, but villa guests are offered an exclusive tour and tasting as part of their stay.

Timeless wine farm luxury

Taaibosch Manor House: Pool

With a thatched roof, green doors and shutters, and ancient oak trees, the 1838 Manor House has been home to generations of families, retaining a sense of timeless peace and gracious living. Sweeping lawns, a long terrace and a private pool courtyard make for easy summer entertaining and leisurely get-togethers with extended family or a group of friends; the vines and mountain views providing a scenic backdrop to life on this working wine farm.

Taaibosch Manor House: Kitchen

As with Farsight Villa and Garden Villa, this is the deluxe version of self-catering, with a chef preparing breakfast for you each day, a daily service and turndown, and a butler on hand to help as needed. The beautiful kitchen, dining and braai areas make entertaining a breeze, and there’s also the option of hiring a private chef for one or more meals, including a traditional braai or potjie.
